Kuala Lumpur, 19th October 2009 – The regional event - APR Course for Leader Trainers opened today in the presence of the National Training Commissioner, Tuan Hj Abdul Shukor bin Mohsin at the International Youth Centre, Kual Lumpur.

Present at the opening ceremony were the APR Adult Resources Sub- Committee Chairman Ms Reiko Suzuki, the International Youth Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Director Dato Raja Ruslan Samah, Malaysian Chief Scout Executive Zaki Nurud-din, and International Commissioner Dr Mukhyuddin bin Sarwani.

A total of 40 participant from 12 National Scout Organisations are taking the course. An International training team of six members from Australia, Japan, UK, Canada, Malaysia and APR are running the course. The course director is Haji Rahmat bin Jafaar from PPM who is also being assisted by four facilitators from Malaysia.

The course will run for seven days, concluding on the 25th October.
