Kuala Lumpur, 23rd October 2009. The 6th APR Scout Youth Forum, which opened yesterday and will run until 25th October 2009 was officially opened by the Guest of Honour Persekutuan Pengakap Malaysia (PPM) Chief Scout, Dato' Seri Dr Hj Shafie Bin Hj Mohd Salleh.
 
Youth participants numbering to 110 young people, comprised of 39 delegates and 71 observers, are from 25 National Scout Organizations from the region and observers from Finland and Uganda are gethered at the Kampo Hall of the International Youth Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to discuss and express their views on issues affecting them, and also to sharpen their skills on leadership and decision-making.

At the forum, participants will elect seven representatives that will consist the YAMG for the period of 2009-2012 and its chairman.
